Duke Asian American Theatre is an organization founded by Rachel Whitney (c/o 2014) in order to support and highlight Asian American representation in theatre. However, this is an inclusive space for everyone and anyone.

Ballet & Books is a national, non-profit organization striving to reduce the literacy gap through the hybrid storytelling of dance and reading. Our Duke chapter hosts a free ballet class and reading mentorship program for 6- to 9-year-olds every Saturday at Durham County Main Library. At the end of each semester, our B&B students perform in a showcase!

The mission of Bench and Bar is to provide services to undergraduates interested in pursuing a legal career. Bench and Bar seeks to accomplish its stated goal by acting as an intermediary between undergraduates and the pre-law advising office, providing students with resources for law school admissions, and by fostering interest in the legal field.

The mission of BBBS is to create meaningful one-to-one relationships between Bigs (Duke students) and Littles (children from local elementary schools), allowing the former to serve as role models and a loving older siblings to inspire the latter to reach their full potentials. BBBS at Duke works with the local BBBS of the Triangle to accomplish such a mission through training sessions, monthly personal check-ups, as well as seasonal parties that brings Bigs and Littles together on campus to further develop their relationships.

The Biology Cultural Association is an organization that seeks to build a community of underrepresented students within the Department of Biology. Vulnerable identities like POC, people with disabilities, religious minorities, low-income students, and sexual and gender minorities, are underrepresented on campus and in STEM. BCA supports undecided underclassmen through 1:1 mentorship between upperclassmen and underclassmen, seminars and panels, academic advising, and social events. We are a safe space for students to voice their unique concerns about representation and diversity initiatives in the biology department.

The Black Pre-Law Society (BPLS) at Duke seeks to diversify the legal profession by promoting transparency and accessibility to resources regarding the law school admissions process and legal profession for Black-identifying undergraduate students. BPLS is dedicated to fostering a community of Black excellence, success, networking and mentorship. With these values, we strive to aid Black students in their legal journey.

We are a gathering place that welcomes ALL Black women at Duke, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. We celebrate the experiences of trans, queer, disabled, and low-income women. At Blue Devil Bakers, our mission is to cultivate a deep appreciation and understanding of the art and science of baking. We are dedicated to exploring and sharing the rich cultural heritage embodied in baking traditions from around the world. Through hands-on workshops, educational sessions, and community events, we aim to enlighten our members about the intricate science behind baking techniques and ingredients. Our goal is to create a welcoming community where enthusiasts and beginners alike can discover the joy and knowledge that baking brings, fostering both skill development and cultural awareness

The Duke Body Empowerment Project aims to create a safe space for open conversations about body image and mental health, with the goal of dismantling diet culture in all its forms on Duke's campus and beyond. Not only do we aim to provide a tight-knit community for individuals to share their struggles with food, exercise, and/or self-esteem, we also intend to reach the greater Duke community through our online platform and campus-wide advocacy events.

BOOST Beyond is an extension program of BOOST (Building Opportunities and Overtures in Science and Technology), a multidimensional pathway program to excite students in the Durham Public School system about science. BOOST Beyond serves to expand post-secondary access through individualized mentoring. BOOST Beyond pairs Duke graduate and medical students with BOOST high school mentees to provide individualized guidance on navigating the post-secondary school process, with a specific emphasis on the college application process - making a school list, writing college essays, applying to scholarships, choosing schools, and preparing for the transition to college.

BaMA is dedicated to spreading the culture of the card game of bridge, a both social and intellectual game, through combining community-building and algorithmic thinking training. As a game that is slowly being lost in time, this organization is also aimed at preserving and teaching this aged game. In addition, BaMA strives to connecting Duke students with bridge players in Durham and the surrounding area.

In order to ease the process of dying for both the patient and the family, hospice is an essential component of end-of-life care. Patients are given comfort and medical care during their last days alive, and families are given greater peace and ease while losing their loved one. However, due to the high cost of hospice care, families often lack the means to fulfill their loved one's wishes while paying for the care itself. For instance, when speaking with nurses and the volunteer coordinator at Hock Family Pavilion, it became clear to us that patients in hospice care may ask for specific books to be read to them, a specific meal to be delivered, or a certain product/item. These requests can be costly, and hospice centers like Hock Family Pavilion are not equipped to fulfill these requests. In order to ease the burden of these requests and to increase hospice patients' happiness and wellbeing, Bring Happiness for Hospice will be dedicated to raising funds to fulfill hospice patients' requests while in care. In conjunction with Hock Family Pavilion and Liberty Hospice Center (and with the potential of partnering with more hospice centers in the near future), funds will be raised and allocated towards this purpose. Additionally, club members will work towards delivering the requests (e.g., physically purchasing and delivering a book, meal, item, or other request). While this club is dedicating towards increasing happiness amongst people towards the end of their lives, it also recognizes the great stress and burden that weighs on college students. Thus, the fundraising for hospice patients will center around wellness events that are open to all Duke students. With free events ranging from yoga classes (led by yoga instructor-certified Duke students) to painting classes and meditation practices, these events will be dedicated towards providing stress relief for Duke students. Additionally, events will vary from week to week to keep students interested in and excited about attending. Any Duke student will be able to attend these events for free via registration, and donations at these events will be greatly encouraged and promoted. Additionally, Hock Family Pavilion has expressed interest in conducting fundraising events in the broader Durham community in partnership with a sub-committee at their hospice center. Thus, the overall purpose is to increase the happiness of hospice patients through activities that simultaneously improve Duke students' well-being.

Our mission, as Bull City Scholars, is to create a sustainable mentorship and tutoring program centered around educational equity and college access for middle school students in Durham that are actively underserved by Duke's Partnerships for Service. To support an informed framework of service, students may participate in an optional, introductory house course investigating education inequality and pedagogy.

Business Behind Health at Duke invites students of all backgrounds to explore untapped careers in the health and wellness economy. Considering many Duke students feel a disconnect between their academic interests and career options beyond clinical roles, DBBH is Duke's first student organization dedicated to offering a centralized network integrating business, technology and healthcare perspectives. By showcasing non-traditional roles and being an engine for cross-sector collaboration, DBBH is committed to helping each student find their place in the health industry.

Camp Kesem is a weeklong, sleep-away camp for children aged 6-18 who are affected by a parent or caregiver's cancer. It is free for the campers and is designed to provide a week of support, community, and fun for Camp Kesem campers. In addition to camp, we offer support to families throughout the year in the form of birthday cards, virtual cabin chat meetings, one in-person event for camper families each semester, and connection to resources. The Kesem chapter at Duke University, is one of the largest of 137 chapters nationwide committed to serving children affected by a parent's cancer diagnosis. Who Are We Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond a parent's cancer. Kesem's flagship program, Camp Kesem, operates 137 free summer camps across the country for children ages 6 to 18 who have been impacted by a parent's cancer. Vision: To ensure that every child impacted by a parent's cancer is never alone. Mission: To support children through and beyond their parent's cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Tagline: A child's friend through and beyond a parent's cancer.

Cards for Humanity aims to host and teach diverse card games from around the world to connect and engage Duke’s diverse student body with one another and with members of the Durham community, allowing students to participate in games they already played or learn new ones while getting to know each other and become better acquainted with Durham. 2. Cards for Humanity aims to organize interactive events at local community centers ranging from nursing homes and senior centers to hospitals/clinics and high schools, using card games as a medium to engage and connect with members, including those with dementia and Alzheimer’s as well as students attending local high schools. Through this, we hope to support as many individuals as possible in and around Duke and Durham, regardless of age, education, condition, or language barrier. 3. Cards for Humanity aims to host card game events and tournaments to support charitable causes, raise awareness for social issues, and contribute to nonprofits both on and off campus. For instance, we plan on hosting monthly tournaments to support various nonprofits in and around Durham.

The mission of Catalyst is to build a social and pre-professional community of tech-enthusiasts. Catalyst aims to accomplish three goals: 1) To allow students to obtain mentorship in the field of technology. 2) To allow students to be connected with peers with similar interests. 3) To inspire each other to research and learn more about opportunities and disciplines within technology. This organization is also intended to provide a new insight into what comprises the field of technology. Catalyst members will meet biweekly for a General Body Meeting.

The primary purpose of the Lubavitch/Chabad Student Group is to provide living Judaism to the students at Duke within the framework of traditional Judaism. Our objectives include but are not limited to: educational, ritual, and social activities, in addition to counseling and spiritual guidance to individual students. Our organization is based on Chassidic philosophy, as taught locally by the Lubavitch/Chabad Jewish Center directed by Rabbi Zalman & Yehudis Bluming. Our philosophy states that every Jew deserves an equal opportunity to experience and enjoy their heritage. All programs and events of the Lubavitch/Chabad Student Group are within the framework of Halachah, Jewish law, as transmitted by the Rabbis throughout the generations dating back to Moses who received the Torah at Mount Sinai. These goals shall be achieved through weekly Torah (Bible) classes, monthly women's programs, lectures on various Jewish issues, and speakers for religious and cultural events. We will also provide Shabbat and Holiday services, Glatt (the highest Kosher standard) Kosher dinners, Holiday programs, and Shabbatons (unique weekends). This organization shall not be for profit and non-commercial in nature.

Challah for Hunger @ Duke is part of the national Challah for Hunger organization, which empowers student-led chapters across the country to address food insecurity. Our mission is to create an inclusive community where all Duke students, regardless of religious background, can come together to fight hunger locally and globally. We do this by baking and selling challah on and off campus and donating the proceeds to organizations dedicated to combating hunger.

Duke Combat Robotics is a student-run organization that provides students of all technical backgrounds and experience levels the opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in the world of combat robotics. The club emphasizes a relaxed, supportive learning environment alongside exciting opportunities for intercollegiate competition. In small, collaborative teams, students design and build antweight (1 lb) battlebots while engaging in a holistic engineering process: from brainstorming and mechanical design to electronics and fabrication. Students gain real-world experience working on projects in a wide range of engineering disciplines that promote a sense of international responsibility.

Duke EyeServe's mission is to be a service-based organization focused on supporting those affected by low vision or blindness via fundraising, volunteering, and educational initiatives. Duke EyeServe strives to be a leader in the community and donate funds raised to non-profits that provide assistance or support to those with low vision or blindness. Duke EyeServe seeks to host these initiatives, either on- or off-campus, itself or in conjunction with other organizations to educate and assist members of the community with low vision or blindness. Duke EyeServe is also focused on educating the community on ophthalmology research and low-vision-related issues and on connecting dedicated undergraduates to research labs.

The purpose is to be a multi-game gaming organization fostering both the casual and competitive gamers at Duke University. Our focus is to develop a gaming community on campus as well as promote gamers to compete in esports gaming tournaments with their respective game(s). The goal is to represent the university in a new realm of sports that has been waiting for several years to come.

Duke Hearts for Hope (H4H) serves to provide Duke students with a unique volunteering experience. Its mission aims to enlighten and impassion students that volunteer their help and skills for a greater cause. Furthermore, it works to help the homeless community in Durham by providing free blood pressure screenings and creating caring interactions between volunteers, homeless individuals, and all of those in the community. Hearts for the Homeless plans to work with other non-profit organizations, veterans' organizations, health care clinics, and medical professionals to enhance the effectiveness of this registered student organization. This organization aspires to help shape and mold the minds of our members into knowledgeable, compassionate leaders.

This mission of the Duke International Relations Association is to educate the Duke undergraduate community on international relations and foreign policy; to compete in collegiate Model UN conferences and other simulations of international bodies; to educate high school students on international relations through annual simulations at the Duke University Model United Nations Conference (DUMUNC); to educate Duke students and other college students on international relations through an annual simulation of international bodies at the Triangle Model United Nations Conference (TriMUN); and to publish a leading international relations and local connections journal known as Borderless.

The Duke Investment Club seeks to educate members (from here on called "analysts") about finance by teaching them some of the technical and leadership skills they need to succeed in whatever profession they are interested in. Part of the teaching happens through the operation of a not-for-profit portfolio that seeks investment performance superior to the S&P 500. Any returns generated from the portfolio must be reinvested in the portfolio or be used for educational and social events open to all analysts. No individual analyst or groups of analysts shall be allowed to receive financial compensation from the portfolio. All funds belong to the club as a whole, and individual analysts do not have partial ownership of the club through for example equity securities. Our mission is to operate an educational investing fund while being in compliance with the SEC definition of a private investment club.

Duke Ishq is a Bollywood/Hip Hop non-competitive dance group that aims to foster open learning and exploration of Indian dance styles and culture via performances at local events and Duke showcases. Duke Ishq hopes to provide dancers that want to participate in Bollywood and Hip-Hop dance with a non-competitive option that has a lower time commitment than competitive Bollywood teams currently on Duke’s campus. Duke Ishq also features non-selective components to give any student across campus the ability to take part in Ishq practices. Our mission is to prioritize art and expression above all in our operations. Duke Ishq’s membership will be comprised of two main components: attendees and the performance group. Attendees consist of anyone who attends Ishq’s open practices, which will take place twice a month. This is the non-selective aspect of the group, as it is open to anyone, and attendees will still be immersed in the Ishq community. The second component of Ishq’s membership is the performance group, which are those who have auditioned at the beginning of each semester (fall and spring) to perform on stage for Ishq. These performances will include our showcase (which will take place once a year in the spring semester), and performances we are invited to (ie: Fall Showcase, Diya’s Awaaz, and HSA Diwali). Our performance group would consist of roughly 30-40 members. By providing both of these membership components, we are proud to give anyone the opportunity to come dance with Ishq, while also giving students something to strive towards if they are interested in one day performing, and limiting performance numbers. To elaborate on what non-competitive means in this context, Ishq will not be a part of any national dance circuits (ie: Desi Dance Network) in which groups travel and compete against each other. Rather, Ishq will only perform at local Duke dance showcases and Durham events. Ishq’s purpose also incorporates providing Duke’s campus with a dance group that focuses on the Bollywood dance style specifically. "Bollywood" is used as an umbrella term for all Indian dance styles, but there is also a specific Bollywood/Indian dance style called Bollywood which Ishq will focus on.

The mission of DJP is to serve local justice-involved youth and adults through service, advocacy, and education. DJP will seek to accomplish this mission through holding at least bi-weekly meetings, educational training, service events, and government engagement. Educational training will include hosting guest speakers who are experts on the criminal justice system as well as training for rehabilitation programs. Service events will include but are not limited to: - Fundraising for phone calls, food, and toiletries, - Pen pals and book exchanges for intellectual stimulation, - Working with local nonprofits, and - Re-entry and rehabilitation training, including GED tutoring. Government engagement efforts will be conducted by working with local and state government and Duke's government relations team. DJP will use this engagement to lobby for laws which will decrease mass incarceration and mitigate its effects.

Magical Moments Foundation is a wish-granting organization for children with craniofacial disorders. We work to make a difference in these children’s lives, spread awareness of the lifelong harm caused by appearance-related stigma, and promote acceptance of facial diversity. Children with facial differences often endure the pain of teasing, bullying, and isolation— pain that can leave emotional scars that last a lifetime. Children that face the world with a difference also endure the challenge of a more silent, but just as damaging, form of stigma: that of unconscious bias. We create magical experiences that restore hope and provide comfort, inspiration, and encouragement to children with facial differences that are the result of genetic disorders, congenital anomalies, cancer treatment, severe trauma and burns. We help children understand that they are not at all limited by their appearance, but only by the size of their dreams! Through the magical moments that we create, we not only make a difference in children’s lives, but we also promote awareness of the lifelong harm caused by appearance-related stigma and create more widespread acceptance of facial diversity within our communities. The mission of Duke Medical Ethics Journal (DMEJ) is to increase the public knowledge of current issues in medical ethics not only within the Duke community but also beyond. DMEJ will seek to accomplish this mission by holding bi-weekly body meetings, publishing an online publication once a year in conjunction with speaker events featuring experts in the field of medical ethics, and sharing articles and short blurbs describing recent medical advancements and the implications such advancements have for the clinical setting. Our goal is that each new issue of the journal will explore a different theme of the fundamentals of medical ethics.

The mission of DQF is to create a pre-professional community of students interested in pursuing a career in quantitative finance, algorithmic trading, and derivatives research. This organization aims not only to increase the momentum of quantitative finance at Duke but also aims to act as a resource for students interested in this career path. We hope to provide Duke students the opportunity to compete in trading competitions, network with prominent quant trading firms, and connect with the broader quantitative finance community. The organization will hold resume-building events, social bonding activities, and speaker series. For analyst positions, we will also provide weekly lectures in a training program, ranging from statistics, programming, asset classes, and trading strategies.

QuestBridge (QB) is a nationally renowned scholarship organization with 40 chapters at many of the nation's most prestigious universities (i.e. Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, MIT, Princeton, Columbia University etc.). Duke began accepting QuestBridge students in 2017 and is accepting more than 30 QuestBridge students every year. The Duke QuestBridge Chapter aspires to create a welcoming community for any QuestBridge scholars at Duke and its advocates. Duke QB will also play a vital role to the QB Scholars Program by providing mentoring services and college-counseling for current and prospective students involved with QB at Duke. Foreseeable future events include a National QuestBridge Day event, Resume Building events, Getting Involved with Durham outings, QB Alumni networking workshops, and Mentor/Mentee workshops.

The Duke Real Estate Club seeks to educate its members about the vast industry of real estate and establish connections through networking opportunities. DuRM stives to provide local middle schools with free robotics lesson aimed to enrich passion and spark an interest in STEM. We teach middle school students an introduction to coding which builds on each past lesson and expose students to fun interactive actives using line following robots. We work closely with the Durham public schools to provide aftercare lessons through the Durham Encore program.

The purpose of this Club is to provide an opportunity for students of Duke University to learn and play the sport of Spikeball in a friendly and competitive environment. Our goals are to set up open campus-wide tournaments to promote our club as well as the sport of Spikeball to anyone who is interested. We plan to represent Duke at other college campuses during intercollegiate tournaments across the nation. We will equip members with all they need to be a successful Spikeball Player. Our mission is to help further the knowledge of Spikeball across the City, State, and Nation, starting with Durham, NC.

The mission of Sangeet is to nurture South Asian classical music and present an immersion experience to the Duke University community in both its student and faculty bodies. Sangeet seeks to accomplish this mission by fostering community and collaboration between classical musicians and appreciators in the community, encouraging and supporting musicians on campus to showcase their talent on campus, hosting performances and concerts given by local musicians as well as musicians from India who shall travel abroad to present their art form, presenting lecture demonstrations and workshops that complement these concerts and allow audience members to see, hear, and even touch the instruments being showcased for educative and entertaining value.

Our mission is to foster a community in which Duke students can get involved and apply their interest in sports analytics in any capacity possible. Duke Sports Analytics Club will primarily be a platform in which students can complete projects on a sport or problem of their choice. These projects can then be published and posted on our public facing website. We are also hoping to partner with Duke Athletics, allowing for dedicated members who are interested in working with the athletic department to help our sports teams succeed. Durham AIM’s mission is grounded in the belief that every student, regardless of background, deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education and realize their full potential. Our goal is to provide comprehensive 1-on-1 college admissions advisory services to Durham high school students. Given the complexity of the college application process, particularly for students coming from underprivileged backgrounds, Durham AIM seeks to bridge gaps in knowledge through providing support and mentorship. Undergraduate students at Duke possess a wealth of information regarding success in high school, extracurricular opportunities, and the college application process through their own recent experiences. We aim to encourage membership among all undergraduate students regardless of year, background, program of study, or post-graduation aspirations in order to provide our mentees advisors in any area they express interest in. Following rigorous training by our organization and our partners, undergraduate volunteers will serve as individual mentors to a small number of high school students. Mentors will meet with each mentee twice a month to offer tailored advice that addresses the mentee’s aspirations and circumstances. Our holistic approach aims not only to guide students through the mechanics of college applications but also to instill a sense of possibility, ambition, and belonging in the higher education landscape. We hope to foster longevity in our partnerships by preserving successful mentor-mentee pairs over multiple semesters or even years, providing the mentor a fulfilling service experience through their undergraduate career and providing the mentee consistent support through their high school career.

Our mission is to provide a space for the contemporary dance community on campus. For styles such as ballet, modern, and others that have specific techniques with correct and incorrect ways to move, dancers can train with the same teacher in the same class format for years in pursuit of perfecting that specific technique. Contemporary dance is different in that there are very few specifics; movement varies from individual to individual due to the explorative and emotional nature of the form. This club will also strive to provide dancers with a space to grow, explore dance, and find their personal "voice" in new ways through improvisation, choreography, phrases, guest teachers, and more.

Duke eNable is a student run organization that aims to connect people in the Durham area with 3D printed adaptive devices, free of cost. By conducting user-driven research and development projects, and by forging partnerships with prosthetics organizations both locally and globally, we hope to push the boundaries of 3D printed adaptive solutions to enable limb-different individuals with the devices we design and print.

Duke Ethics Bowl is a student-run group striving to cultivate and motivate a curiosity for the ethical dilemmas facing our world, to foster a community of students driven to respectfully engage in methodical constructive conversations to nurture a new generation of ethical thinkers, and to compete in intercollegiate competitions to strengthen relationships between ethics-oriented students focusing on collaboration between teams to challenge systematic problems.

This club seeks to compete in the College Fed Challenge (the “Challenge”) hosted by the Federal Reserve System in the fall. Throughout the year, the Organization will host training meetings on how the Federal Reserve operates, macroeconomics, and current American economic policy. In the Spring semester, the Organization will form into smaller, specialized teams that each focus on a particular element of how the Federal Reserve analyzes the economy. Within these teams, club members will continue to monitor the economy throughout the summer. In the fall, these specialized groups will work together to create a comprehensive presentation on the economy to present at the Challenge.

Happy Feet aims to foster a supportive community of female-identifying individuals through running/walking outdoors. Whether new to running or an experienced runner, Happy Feet will help foster the development of healthy habits, build self-confidence, facilitate bonding, and spread positivity. Happy Feet will provide a positive environment that encourages participants to find running/walking buddies, act as cheerleaders for one another, and make new friends. Opportunities to participate in races, such as the RDC Races, and interact with local organizations, such as Girls on the Run Triangle, will be advertised throughout the year. Such off-campus opportunities will not only help to strengthen groups bonds, but will additionally help to build relations with the Durham community. Happy Feet ultimately aims to introduce individuals interested in starting to run to healthy running habits, including gradual weekly mileage, stretching, resting, and eating. Practices will be spaces of learning and growth for individuals, particularly in a hobby that can be intimidating for novices and especially so for women. We hope to promote inclusivity, camaraderie, and overall health and well-being as we run/walk and grow together.

Our mission is to create a community that broadens awareness of diverse healthcare professions beyond traditional pre-med pathways, including dentistry, PA, nursing, veterinary medicine, physical and mental therapy, global health, BME, and more. Our coalition aims to fill the current gap of an all-inclusive pre-health community, with the intent to expose members to a wide variety of healthcare careers through professional panels, healthcare-focused service projects, and networking events. Duke University's Help Desk is a student initiative that partners with health care organizations to address their patients' unmet social needs through screening patients, referring them to community resources, and troubleshooting barriers to resource connection. Only 20% of a person's health is determined by healthcare, while 80% is determined by a mix of socioeconomic factors, the surrounding environment, and health behaviors, which are encompassed by the social determinants of health (SDOH). The SDOH are officially defined as conditions in which people are born, live, work, and grow. Help Desk aims to educate students about the SDOH, train a workforce of community resource navigators who help patients connect to resources for their social need, and create and share toolkits and training materials that other healthcare organizations and partners can use to replicate the Help Desk model.

The Music & Memory Chapter at Duke University (Duke M&M) is an undergraduate organization that connects students with residents of local care facilities living with Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases through musical intervention. By drawing on music from an individual’s past, we aim to evoke deep emotional memories—helping residents reconnect with themselves, their loved ones, and the world around them. Duke M&M supports certified Music & Memory programs in local care facilities by curating personalized playlists, hosting fundraisers and equipment drives, engaging residents through music listening sessions and live performances, and facilitating other musical activities that bring joy and spark memories. Students also coordinate on-campus awareness events, including panels, talks, and film screenings, to highlight the therapeutic power of music. Through these efforts and their work with residents, students gain hands-on experience in end-of-life and long-term care while building meaningful connections with the community.

Duke Music Collective (DMC) seeks to create and convene accessible music opportunities for all students and to increase the presence of music across Duke’s campus. DMC fulfills this mission by hosting student performances, creating a casual network of student musicians, and connecting students to music-related academic, creative, and industry learning opportunities in partnership with Duke faculty, facilities, alumni, industry professionals, and student organizations. Many students arrive at Duke with musical interest or experience yet lack accessible avenues to continue making music alongside demanding academic schedules. Existing music initiatives often require auditions, formal ensemble participation, or significant time commitments, leaving no centralized, inclusive space for students to engage in music casually or flexibly. Duke Music Collective addresses this gap as the first student organization dedicated to providing a low-barrier, centralized hub for music engagement—open to all students, with no audition or prior experience required.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was the first historically Black Greek-letter society to be founded on the campus of a Historically Black College/University (HBCU) on November 17th, 1911. The Winning Omega Zeta chapter was the first Black Greek letter organization chartered at Duke on Friday, April 12th 1974. The Omega Zeta chapter serves the community through mentorship, various programs, and service projects centered around the 4 Cardinal Principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.

The mission of Pancakes for Parkinson's is to spread awareness about Parkinson's disease and to raise money to support The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The goal of The Michael J. Fox Foundation is to find a cure for Parkinson's disease. P4P seeks to accomplish this mission by hosting a fundraising event each spring on the quad.

In the face of the growing interest in climate tech, we aim to explore diverse engineering opportunities within this field and collectively contribute to a meaningful and positive impact on our planet.

The Duke Puppy Club (DPC) aims to empower students with the knowledge, community and support to successfully raise future service dogs for two service dog organizations: the Canine Companions Organization (National) and Eyes, Ears, Nose and Paws (Local) . These dogs will have a life-changing impact on those with physical, developmental, or auditory disabilities. These organizations commit to recruiting informed, committed, and prepared puppy raisers and spreading awareness about the potential of service animals to change lives. Several fundraising campaigns, puppy socialization events, and other volunteering opportunities will enable us to accomplish these goals and develop a strong community of puppy raisers and puppy sitters. This club will bring back the Duke favorite: the Puppy Kindergarten!

This club’s goal is to create a community of readers on campus who engage in thought provoking conversations and develop a deeper appreciation for the contribution of black authors. The mission of Duke RCUC is to assist in the operations of Root Causes, a community organization based in the Duke University School of Medicine that is focused on alleviating disparities caused by the social determinants of health in the greater Durham area. Specifically, members will have the opportunity to work with the various components of Root Causes addressing different social determinants of health, including, but not limited to, the Fresh Produce Program, Healthy STEPS, Project FEED, and WellNest. Duke Splash is an educational outreach program that aims to spark middle schoolers’ interest and passion towards learning with interactive workshops. Splash’s objective is to show middle schoolers the real world applications of the concepts they learn in class and give them a chance to explore their interests. Splash aims to reach this goal through interactive workshops in STEM and humanities taught by Duke undergraduate students.

The mission of Synergy Dance Company is to foster a safe space for students of all backgrounds and experience levels to learn and grow as dancers and people. We intend to hold performances throughout the year that showcase all different styles of dance performed by students of various identities to promote diversity and inclusion. We are committed to Synergy Dance being an open club, so that members may continue developing their passion, regardless of any disabilities, limited prior dance experience, or any other barriers that may have otherwise held them back from joining other dance groups at Duke. Synergy Dance aims to offer a community where students do not have to continually strive for perfection, but rather focus on their physical and mental health with the support of their teammates. We also plan to hold pop-up classes to encourage collaboration with other cultural dance groups for our members to learn about other cultures through the art of dance and movement. The mission of One Love is to empower Duke students to take action in the movement to end intimate partner violence. One Love seeks to accomplish this mission by facilitating Escalation Workshops and other signature One Love workshops which will allow the Duke community to better understand the mission of the One Love Foundation.

Envisioned as an organization that unites Duke tech talents through the nexus between tech, design and social good, the mission of Technify is to build a community of college students at Duke and beyond that strives to bridge the digital divide in Southeast Asia and drive social impact through technology. Technify will pursue this mission by connecting students with non-profit organizations and social enterprises through pro bono tech projects that range from developing a dynamic website that promotes the work of an NGO to building a web application to manage food donation logistics for an anti-food waste social enterprise. Technify members will work in teams on each project that would typically last for a semester; as teams emulate standard industrial practices such as the Agile development framework, Technify members will gain invaluable change-making opportunities and technical experiences for personal growth and future career advancement. This mission, should it be successful, will culminate in a community of budding tech talents that espouses the Duke spirit of 'Knowledge in the Service of Society' as they strive to bridge the digital divide faced by change-makers for a better tomorrow.

The mission of TEDxDuke is to spread ideas worth sharing by hosting an annual conference, alongside partnering with on-campus groups on speaker events throughout the year. Our mission is to facilitate an improved culture of women’s and overall gender-informed empowerment on Duke’s campus. We publish monthly volumes for Duke students to explore self-empowerment, journalism, art, poetry, photography, politics, and more. We welcome any individuals as long as they are in support of our mission: the empowerment of women’s voices through writing and art. The Muse is a feminist driven publication at Duke University, founded by two students who desired to create a positive outlet for women’s empowerment on Duke’s campus. Drawn out of the findings of former President Nannerl Keohane’s Women’s Initiative report, which found a trend of decreased confidence through Duke women’s undergraduate careers, the publication seeks to facilitate the contrary. The mission of The Wild Ones is to provide the Duke community with opportunities to observe nature with a focus on increasing our scientific understanding of and appreciation for the environment. The Wild Ones seeks to accomplish this mission by organizing events including: faculty-led/professional-led naturalist outings with organismal (e.g. insects, plants, birds, reptiles) or ecological (e.g. stream, geology, rare ecosystems) focuses, collections tours, guest lectures, natural arts and crafts, and social events.

The mission of Duke Writers' Collective is to foster a literary culture on campus and make the creative writing process at Duke more dynamic and collaborative. DWC seeks to accomplish this mission via a two-part process: The first element is a user-friendly website where all works submitted will be published, and other users provide feedback and critique; all pieces and edits will be vetted for propriety. The second component of the project consists of regular social events where writers can share their inspiration and ideas, i.e. poetry circles, film screenings, open mic nights, writing workshops, etc. One event will be held per month.
